Joining the Library here

If you are new to Norfolk Libraries, you can join your local library as an individual by completing this form, which will only take a couple of minutes. If you wish to register for any sort of group membership, please contact your local library .

You need to be based in our area to join.

If you are already a member, you do not have to complete this form in order to continue to use your library. If your membership has expired, please go to your local library where staff will verify your personal details. We are unable to re-register online at present.

All fields marked with an asterisk (*) MUST be completed. By completing and submitting your on-line registration form you are agreeing to abide by the library conditions of use and to be responsible for all items borrowed from the library. Any information that you give us will only be used for the administration of library services: notifications, statistics, monitoring and development of library services. For further information see the full Data Protection Statement.

At the end of it you will be given a temporary borrower number that will allow you to place reservations on any physical items you wish to borrow from our libraries. Please note that this will not permit you to borrow ebooks or make PC bookings immediately. You will then be issued with a permanent borrower card which will be posted to your contact address, and that number will give you full access to all library services.

Please note that if you live outside Norfolk, but work in the county, then you should use your work address as your primary contact address.

Don't know your PIN Number?

If you have lost your card, or need to be reminded of your PIN number you can get your PIN Number from us in a number of ways. Firstly, you can call the Libraries Renewal Number 0344 800 8006 and choose option 0 to be connected to a member of staff. They will ask you a set of questions to verify your identity and then give it to you over the phone.

Secondly, you can telephone your local library. Again, they will ask you a number of questions to verify your identity and then tell you your PIN Number.

You can also visit a library to be given your PIN number in person. It would help if you could bring some form of ID with you, such as driving licence, credit card, utility bill etc

You may wish to fill in a form requesting a PIN Number. On receipt of the form, we will phone you back at a time convenient to you during weekday office hours to complete the identity check as above.

Please note that we are unable to email PIN Numbers for security reasons.

If you are under 16 you may be asked to provide a parent or guardian signature when you collect your library card.
