As well as our lists of new books added to our stock we have also produced some reading lists of special collections that have been put together to support particular groups.
The Book Prescription Service, in partnership with Norfolk and Waveney Mental Health partnership (NHS Trust), aims to improve access to books and CDs that can help you manage and overcome a range of emotional, psychological and relationship difficulties. All the resources have been recommended by health workers who have seen how useful they can be in helping people to make changes.
Carers Collections have been set up specifically to support Carers and Parents with books on behaviour management, relaxation, attachment, life story work and much, much more. These collections are held in the Earlham, Gorleston, King's Lynn, Long Stratton, Attleborough and North Walsham Libraries.
EACH Read and Play Together : books and CD's for children and young people with complex health needs and life-threatening conditions, their carers and siblings. A service provided in partnership with East Anglia's Children's Hospices( EACH) and Norfolk Community Health and Care to provide information and support, help to explore difficult feelings and promote reading together.
